Half Day Family Paddle and Hike

We're offering professional guiding to help parents or guardians get kids out on the water for possibly the first time in a kayak. As part of this tour the family will travel to an offshore island for an exciting hike, a lunch that we'll prepare and some time on the beach in addition to the kayaking that we'll be doing.

The perfect way for a family to spend the day! Join us on a stress free family paddle from the beach at Pear Point just across to Turn Island State Park. On Turn Island, guests will have the opportunity to hike the perimeter of this beautiful uninhabited island, looking out for otters, eagles and other wildlife while your guide prepares lunch for your family. When you're back from the hike, engage your guide in a fun discussion about our unique island ecosystem and any friendly creatures you might have met along the way. After lunch and some time on the beach looking for crabs, sea shells and other sea life, you'll get back in your boats and paddle close to shore around Turn Island and the San Juan Island coastline. This tour is appropriate for all ages 2 and up.
