Goan Village Life Tour

This is a specially curated one of its kind tour that will give you a glimpse in a not so touristy side of Goa. This includes offbeat destinations, serene drives and lunch, and interaction at a local home that you will absolutely love. This tour is north of Goa state, but travellers can request for customization and similar experience in other locations of Goa.

   This is a monolithic cave cut in laterite rock. Experience the magnificent beauty of laterite rocks, the caves have Shiva Linga shrine that was worshiped in ancient times. We shall also stop by a seasonal waterfall in the vicinity. (Waterflow subject to season)

   Stop 2

   20 min

   A temple dedicated to the lord of creation Brahma. This temple is located in a small serene village of Nagargao. The temple was shifted here from a town 30-40kms away, to safeguard it from the Portuguese inquisition.

   Stop 3

   3 hours

   Visit a local home in this village. Partake in a small cooking session in a very humble local kitchen. Eat on a banana leaf (Optional) and listen to our local village host sing songs to you while she demonstrates grinding rice flour on a traditional grinding stone mill.

   Surla

   This is a mosque with a shrine dedicated to Pir (saint) on the banks of Mandovi river. Interestingly the mosque has a temple-like tank in front of it and the locals of the village are leading by an example of communal harmony with a tradition of partaking in each others ceremonies.
