Giverny Half-Day Trip from Paris with Private Driver

Visit Giverny with private transportation from Paris on this 5-hour tour. You'll learn about the life and work of Impressionist master Claude Monet from a guide, visit Monet's home, stop by a local church, and more. Marvel at Monet's famous gardens where he painted some of his most recognizable works with features like the Japanese Bridge and water-lily pond. This is an easy way to see a bit of the French countryside if you have limited time in France.

After hotel pickup in Paris by private vehicle, your tour starts with the 1-hour drive to Giverny, listening to an introduction to Monet’s life in France and his paintings during the ride with your private driver. Stop by the local church where Monet's tomb lies in the village graveyard; check out the Hotel Baudy, where artists used to gather; and see the barn used as a winter studio for artists. Then head to Monet's house, where you can explore the rooms he once lived in and his old studio that is now the gift shop. The highlights of his home, of course, are the gardens and water-lily pond, which you can wander around and even cross the Japanese Bridge. When your time in Giverny is up, return to Paris along the picturesque Route des Crêtes, and enjoy a view of the Seine Valley, a watchtower from the 10th century, and the village and château of La Roche Guyon. Your last stop, if there is time, is in the village of Vétheuil. Your tour ends with drop-off in Paris.
