Itinerary
At a Dallas brewery, turn silky chocolate ganache into a box of seriously tempting truffles. You’ll make the ganache from semi-sweet chocolate, heavy cream, butter and vanilla extract, then chill, roll and shape it into perfectly portioned treats. Next comes the fun part: coating and decorating your truffles with cocoa powder, chocolate sprinkles, crushed cookies and chopped pecans or almonds. Along the way, you’ll learn practical chocolate-making techniques, including how to create a smooth ganache and achieve a polished finish. Chef Dee keeps every step approachable, so you can relax, taste, laugh and create without needing prior experience. Two hours later, you’ll have a beautiful assortment of handmade chocolates and skills you can use for gifts, holidays or whenever your sweet tooth starts making demands.
