Itinerary
- 1
Tulum
3 min
The tour begins in Tulum, where travelers are picked up from their hotel or from the meeting point confirmed for their reservation. Once the group is on board, the journey starts toward Yucatan and the Chichen Itza area, leaving the Caribbean coast behind and moving into one of Mexico’s most meaningful cultural regions. This first stretch gives travelers time to relax, get comfortable, and prepare for a full day that combines Maya history, local food, cenote swimming, and colonial scenery.
- 2
Chichen Itza
3 hours
Before arriving at the archaeological site, the route includes a brief stop near points of interest located close to Chichen Itza. During this part of the day, travelers will also enjoy a buffet lunch at a nearby restaurant, with regional dishes and traditional Mexican flavors. After lunch, the group will continue with the guides toward the main entrance of Chichen Itza. Inside the site, travelers will take part in an approximately 1 hour guided visit through this ancient Maya city, learning about its history, architecture, cultural importance, and daily life during the height of the Maya world. Once the guided tour ends, travelers will have around 1 hour of free time to explore the area on their own, take photos, walk through the site, and enjoy the atmosphere of one of Mexico’s most famous archaeological landmarks.
- 3
Cenote Saamal
3 hours
After visiting Chichen Itza, the tour continues to Cenote Saamal. The drive to reach the cenote takes approximately 1 hour. This stop brings a refreshing contrast after the archaeological visit, replacing temples, plazas, and ancient stone structures with clear freshwater and natural Yucatan scenery. Cenotes were important places for the ancient Maya and were often linked to sacred beliefs and the underground world. At Cenote Saamal, travelers will have time to swim, cool off, enjoy the clear water, and experience one of the peninsula’s most special natural settings. After the cenote visit, the route continues toward Valladolid. The drive to this historic city takes approximately 1 hour.
- 4
Valladolid
1 hour
The last visit of the day takes place in Valladolid, a colonial city known for its colorful streets, calm atmosphere, traditional architecture, and strong Yucatecan identity. This stop adds a cultural and local touch after the ruins and cenote experience. Travelers will have approximately 30 to 45 minutes of free time to walk around, take photos, admire the surroundings, and enjoy the authentic charm of this historic town before beginning the return route.
- 5
Tulum
2 hours
After the stop in Valladolid, travelers will board the transportation again for the return trip toward Tulum and the Riviera Maya. This final part of the day offers time to rest after a complete route filled with Maya heritage, regional cuisine, refreshing cenote waters, and colonial beauty. The return trip to hotels in Tulum and the Riviera Maya takes approximately 2 hours.
Meeting and pickup
Roundtrip shared transportation is included with this experience. Depending on where you are staying and the operating conditions of that location, pickup and return may be provided directly from your hotel/accommodation or from an assigned meeting point. Service areas RIVIERA MAYA Coverage extends through the Riviera Maya hotel corridor, including: • Puerto Aventuras • Xpu Ha • Akumal • Chemuyil • Xcacel • Jacinto Pat TULUM Hotel pickup is not available in Tulum. Travelers staying in Tulum must meet the transportation at the single designated meeting area near the intersection of Boca Paila Avenue and the Cancun-Tulum Highway. Because bus parking and stopping permissions may change, the exact meeting spot can vary slightly. The precise boarding location will therefore be confirmed one day before the tour. --- Guests staying on islands: This experience does not provide pickup directly from hotels or accommodations located on islands. Ferry tickets and other transportation required to cross between an island and the mainland are not included. For example, travelers staying on Isla Mujeres or Cozumel must arrange and pay for their own ferry crossing. Once on the mainland, our transportation will meet them at the assigned bus stop nearest the corresponding ferry terminal in the Riviera Maya area. At the end of the tour, travelers will be returned to the same mainland location where they originally boarded. Hotel and road access restrictions: Direct pickup may not always be possible, even when the property is located within one of the listed transportation zones. Access restrictions can occur because of: • Security conditions • Physical street closures • Government or traffic restrictions • Damaged roads • Narrow streets or difficult access • Unpaved roads that cannot safely be used by the assigned vehicle If any of these conditions affect your reservation, the final confirmation sent one day before the tour will indicate the nearest accessible bus stop or meeting point. Hotel and resort entry policies Some medium-sized and large hotels, resorts, and hotel complexes establish their own rules regarding entry by outside transportation companies. Most properties allow shared-tour transportation to enter, but others may restrict access for privacy or security reasons. If the assigned vehicle is not permitted to enter your hotel, the final confirmation will instruct you to meet the transportation at the property entrance or at the nearest accessible location outside the resort. Changes to your confirmed pickup location If our final confirmation assigns a pickup location that is not the accommodation where you are actually staying, you must notify our team in writing as soon as possible after receiving the confirmation. You may contact us through: • Reservation chat • Email • Text message • WhatsApp Whenever possible, please notify us within the first minutes or hours after receiving your final pickup information. This gives the operations team enough time to review the route and determine whether pickup can be reorganized at your actual accommodation or at another suitable meeting point. Requests made only a few minutes before, during, or after the assigned pickup time are subject to operational availability and approval. We cannot guarantee that a last-minute modification will be possible. Changes made without advance notice can disrupt the scheduled pickup times of other passengers and affect travelers who are already on board. As part of our normal procedure, the team will first look for travelers at the originally confirmed hotel lobby, front desk, or boarding area. Only when a different meeting point has been approved in advance will the team proceed according to the updated instructions. Estimated pickup schedules Pickup times vary significantly depending on the traveler’s location. Several vehicles operate simultaneously, and each transportation unit is assigned to a specific geographic zone. This means that a single vehicle does not collect guests from every pickup area. Typical pickup windows are approximately: - Riviera Maya: 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM - Tulum: Approximately 9:30 AM These times are estimates only. By completing a reservation, travelers understand that the schedules above are not final and may change according to the exact hotel, meeting point, route, and operating conditions of the day. Be ready before pickup Travelers should arrive at the confirmed boarding location fully prepared at least 5 minutes before the assigned pickup time. Waiting periods are extremely limited because the transportation route includes other travelers and multiple scheduled stops. Vehicles cannot remain at a pickup location indefinitely. Please respect the confirmed time. Even a short delay can accumulate across the transportation route and affect guests who are already on board as well as travelers who are still waiting to be collected. Final confirmation One day before the scheduled tour, our team will send a final transportation confirmation containing: • Your exact pickup time • Your confirmed boarding location This information may be sent through the reservation chat, email, and the telephone number provided during booking using WhatsApp and/or SMS, depending on which communication methods are available for that number. For this reason, travelers are strongly encouraged to provide contact information that is accurate, current, active, and reachable. The final confirmation should always be reviewed before the tour, as it contains the definitive transportation instructions for your reservation.

- The times shown in the itinerary refer to the full duration assigned to each part of the experience. These periods may include travel time between locations, time at the stop, boarding, organization, and the time needed to continue along the route or return. They should not be interpreted as the exact amount of time spent only inside each attraction. Please check the itinerary details for the approximate timing of the day.
- The included box lunch is a standard fixed option. It is provided as part of the regular meal service and cannot be modified for special diets, food restrictions, allergies, or personal preferences.
- This experience involves a significant amount of walking. Comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for a full day of movement are recommended.
- As of April 21, 2026, archaeological zones in Mexico have applied security measures that restrict entry with backpacks, suitcases, and similar items. For this reason, we strongly recommend bringing only essential personal belongings for the visit. Small items that fit in your pockets or in a compact personal bag are usually the most practical option. Certain exceptions may be considered, such as diaper bags, but entry decisions are made directly by the security personnel at the archaeological site. Our company is not responsible for belongings that are not allowed inside. During the tour, guests may leave personal items inside the transportation vehicle while visiting the scheduled locations.
- If your reservation does not yet have a confirmed hotel or meeting point, this information must be sent to our team before the cutoff time on the day before the tour. From Monday to Saturday, the latest time to provide this information is 21:50 hrs, GMT-5. On Sundays, the cutoff time is 8:00 PM, GMT-5. You may send the details through any available contact channel. After the cutoff time, we can no longer arrange last-minute pickup details. If the hotel or meeting point is not received on time, the booking will be automatically moved to the next available date at no additional cost, fee, or penalty. Once this automatic rescheduling has been applied, the reservation is no longer refundable.
- If you are joining the tour with friends, family members, or other travelers who booked separately, please inform us before the service date so we can review whether you may travel together. When all travelers are departing from the same accommodation, we will try to coordinate the arrangement, although it cannot be guaranteed. If the pickup locations are in the same city but at different hotels, we may still attempt to organize it, but confirmation is not guaranteed. If the reservations start from different cities, this request cannot be arranged.
- Lunch is offered as a regional Mexican buffet. Guests may choose from the food available at the buffet. Vegetarian options are included, but the buffet cannot currently be adapted for other specific dietary needs.
- The transportation unit and seating arrangement are assigned according to the operation of the day and current availability. Guests cannot select a specific bus, minibus, or seat through the booking platform, directly with our team, or at the pickup point. Our staff will do their best to keep travelers comfortable, but specific seats or vehicles cannot be reserved, blocked, or guaranteed.
- Our team makes every effort to follow the planned schedule as closely as possible. However, the timing of the tour also depends on guests being ready at the assigned pickup time and returning on time at each stop. Road traffic and route conditions may also affect the schedule and are outside our control. Please follow the meeting times indicated by the guide and respect the time allowed at every location. Even a short delay can build up during the day and affect the rest of the itinerary.
