Full-Day Pamukkale and Laodikeia from Marmaris Private Guided Tour

In this tour, we visit two magnificent ancient cities on the same day. Pamukkale Hierapolis and Laodikeia. Our licensed guide picks you up from your hotel early in the morning and after our breakfast break, we set out for the ancient city of Pamukkale/Hierapolis. First, we complete our tour of the ancient city of Hierapolis, Cotton Castle, Cleopatra Pool and Museum. After our lunch, we continue our tour of Laodikeia ruins on our way back. After our Laodikeia visit, we set off to return to your hotel. Our tour starts around 06:00 - 06:30 in the morning. (We can determine it according to the location of your hotel.) Our driving journey is 6 hours round trip in total. Our breakfast break will be 90 minutes and our lunch break will be 90 minutes. Our breaks can be changed according to your wishes.

   Hierapolis & Pamukkale

   7 hours

   We pick you up from your hotel at 06:00 - 06:30 in the morning. We take a breakfast break for about 60 minutes on the way. We arrive at Hierapolis Ancient City / Pamukkale after 3 hours , including a total breakfast break. Our visit to Hierapolis Ancient City, Museum and Cotton Castle takes 2 hours. After this visit, we take a 1 hour lunch break. Total approx. 07 hours. Considered as the Eighth Wonder of the World, a magical and spectacular site, unique in the world. Pamukkale is a fairyland of dazzling white calcified castles. Note: all these hours may vary according to the interest of the guests.

   Cleopatra Pools

   1 hour

   Cleopatra's Pool, also known as Pamukkale Antique Pool, is a man-made pool said to have been a gift from Marc Anthony to Cleopatra. In the 7th century, a massive earthquake destroyed the Roman Temple to Apollo surrounding the pool, toppling the columns into the water, where they now remain for visitors to swim around. Note: all these hours may vary according to the interest of the guests.

   Laodikeia Antik Kenti

   We set off for the ancient city Laodicea and arrive in about 30 minutes. After a 1 hour visit, we set off for Marmaris and arrive in Marmaris after 2 hours and 30 minutes. Laodicea (Laodikya, Laodikeia), 6 km (4 miles) north of Denizli and 1 km (6/10 mile) east of the road to Pamukkale (map) near the village of Goncalı, is an extremely old city that is being “born again” through archeological restoration. Excavations here have revealed artifacts dating from 3500 BC (Late Chalcolithic) to 3000 BC (Early Bronze Age). The city’s name comes from the Seleucid king Antiochus ii, who named it for his wife Laodike in the 3rd century BC when it wa thriving. Later controlled by the kings of Pergamum, it was willed to the Roman Empire, and thrived again from the 4th to 6th centuries. Its importance then numbered it among the Seven Churches of Revelation. Set in an earthquake zone, it was ruined and restored many times, but by the early 1200s it was only farmer’s fields.
