   Mount Limbara, with its peak Punta Balistreri at 1362 metres, dominates north-eastern Sardinia. Its wind-sculpted granite rocks, rich flora and fauna, and water springs make it a magical place. From Vallicciola, at an altitude of 1,000 metres, there are hiking trails with breathtaking views.
