Use the 90-minute ride to ask your guide about the landscape, or just watch the city give way to open desert.

   Al Fayyum

   Arrive in the Fayoum region, one of Egypt’s oldest and greenest oases. Your guide briefs you on the plan and safety basics, then you switch to your private 4×4 desert vehicle for the off-road part of the day.

   Wadi Rum Protected Area

   Explore Wadi El Rayan, a protected desert reserve known for its lakes and waterfalls in the middle of the Sahara. Walk to the waterfalls, take photos of the contrast between water and dunes, and learn from your guide how this area was formed and why it is protected.

   Wadi El-Rayan

   1 hour

   Climb into your private 4×4 for a dune-bashing drive over the high sand dunes. Your driver takes you over the crests and down the slopes, with stops for photos and views across the desert.

   Magic Lake: visit a scenic desert lake set among the dunes, with time for photos and a relaxed break. Wadi El Hitan: see fossilized whale skeletons in the desert where an ancient sea once lay. Your guide explains how these animals evolved from land to sea.
