Exciting Kamakura - One Day Tour from Tokyo

This is a Kamakura private tour using by public transportation. Kamakura is called “the Kyoto of Eastern Japan”, because it used to be the capital of Japan from 12th to 14th century. It’s the first government by the Shogun, a top of samurai warriors. Kamakura offers numerous temples, shrines and other historical monuments.    Kotoku-in - Great Buddha of Kamakura

   This temple was built in 13th century and this Buddha is the landmark of Kamakura. (Entrance fee:300 JPY)

   Hasedera Temple

   1 hour

   This temple was built in 8th century and it has a nice Japanese garden, statues of Buddha, view of the Pacific Ocean and a unique cave shrine. In June and July, hydrangea is so beautiful. (Entrance fee:400 JPY)

   Hokoku-ji Temple

   1 hour

   This temple was built in 14th century and has a beautiful bamboo forest. This temple is something different from other temples in Kamakura ( Entrance fee : 400 JPN).

   Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine

   1 hour

   This shrine was the official guardian shrine of the Kamakura shogunate and worshiped by warriors as deity of the military.
