From the Tronqueira viewpoint, visitors are treated to stunning views of Pico da Vara, the island’s highest peak at 1,103 meters, and Pico Verde at 931 meters. This viewpoint lies within the heart of the Azorean Bullfinch habitat, surrounded by the island’s most significant patch of Laurel Forest. At certain times of the year, the endemic bird can even be spotted here.

   Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeiroes

   Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park is a protected area in the Azores, located along the Ribeira dos Caldeirões watercourse in Achada, Nordeste.    The Ponta do Sossego viewpoint, located in Lomba da Pedreira just a bit further from Ponta da Madrugada, offers breathtaking coastal views. The stunning sea view stretches to Fajã do Araújo and Praia do Lombo Gordo.
