   Stop for lunch at a local restaurant in the quaint, historic town of Obuse. You will have free time to explore the area including shops, breweries and galleries. Optional: entry to the Hokusai museum, a museum dedicated to the famous woodblock artist Hokusai who created 'The Great Wave'

   Zenko-ji Temple

   1.5 hours

   Take a guided tour of the Zenkoji temple, one of Japan's oldest Buddhist temples, now divided into 39 temples representing the 2 sects of Buddhism alive in Japan today. Optional: entry to the underground passage
