Nestled along the southwestern edge of Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserve, the Deering Estate is Miami’s premier landmark that showcases the best of South Florida’s historic architecture and natural environment. The Stone House is currently closed for restoration to help preserve its unique history and architectural features. During this time, the rest of the Estate remains fully open for you to explore and enjoy.

Explore the Historic House Museum and learn about Charles Deering’s life, the Estate’s connection to South Florida’s Indigenous cultures, and its role in Miami’s history. Wander at your own pace through self-guided nature trails and take a stroll on the Mangrove Boardwalk, a serene path featuring a unique ecosystem and diverse wildlife. Bring a picnic and enjoy a relaxing day outdoors among the Royal Palm trees overlooking the quiet waters of Biscayne Bay. Deering Estate is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is designated as one of seven Miami-Dade County “Heritage Parks."
