   One of the most scenic spots, the canal is lined with old merchant houses and willow trees. You can stroll along the peaceful banks or take a boat ride to enjoy the surroundings from the water.

   Kawara Museum

   The Kawara Museum in Ohmihachiman is dedicated to the art and history of traditional Japanese roof tiles, known as kawara. It offers a unique glimpse into the cultural significance of these tiles, which have been used for centuries in Japanese architecture, especially in temples, shrines, and traditional homes. This museum closes every Mondays, so we go to different spots if you book this tour on Monday.
