Day Trip from Casablanca to Meknes and Volubilis

Through this day trip you will have the opportunity to dive into the beautiful history of a special part of Morocco. first will be Volubilis the Roman city that is situated at the heart of Morocco, with beautiful ruin of Roman Houses... Then to one of the imperial city of morocco, Meknes a beautiful calm city with interesting and mysterious monuments such as an old prison that goes all down the whole city.

   The tour starts with a pickup from your accommodation in Casablanca, heading towards Meknes and Volubilis.

   Bab Mansour Gate

   formerly used for the storage of food supplies in the city. a very well known monument.

   Meknes Medina

   2 hours

   Walk in the alleys of the medina: all diverge towards the Great Mosque.

   Bab El-Khemis Gate

   next to the old Mellah of Meknes where we will take some pictures.

   Sahrij Swani

   A place formerly used for the storage of the city's food reserves.

   El Hedim Square

   a lively square to take take picture at and walk around to discover the different kind of artisanal products it offers.

   Volubilis

   1.5 hours

   We will visit the House of Orpheus and the House of Works of Hercules which houses a beautiful decoration showing the adventures of the mythical hero. Then make way for a visit to Place du Capitole and the triumphal arch proudly rising over Volubilis

   We will briefly stop by to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Moulay IDriss Shrine.
