After modeling, the piece will need to dry for about two weeks, then be subjected to two high-temperature firings that will ensure a durable and glossy finish. Your creations will be ready for pickup after three weeks: you can then take home a personalized masterpiece.

Discover the world of ceramic modeling in this pottery workshop in a green laboratory on the border between Italy and Slovenia. We will start preparing the clay for working by kneading it with the bull's head technique: this way the clay will have a uniform consistency and will be easier to work with. Then we will model the piece of clay using the pinch pot technique, creating an object of our choice, such as a cup, a bowl, a plate, or a small vase. Finally, the object will be decorated with slip colors, special colors composed of liquid clay and ceramic pigments. At the end of the lab, your work will be dried in the studio for about two weeks. It will then be fired twice, first at 980 °C, then at 1,020 °C, and finished with a glaze to create a glass-like impermeable surface. After about 3 weeks, you can pick up your pieces at the studio, or you can arrange local shipping for an additional fee. Ideal for solo travelers, couples, and friends who want to spend a creative afternoon in Friuli Venezia Giulia: no previous experience is required.
