Catalan Paella Feast Master Cooking Workshop

This is a hands on cooking workshop where you will have my undivided attention. We have a lot of fun and work as a team to create 6 unique Catalan dishes. 2 starters, 2 main courses ad 2 desserts. With my help you will discover the unique flavors of Catalan cooking while learning about traditional ways of life in Catalunya. As part of this class we will visit the world famous La Boqueria covered market where we will choose our ingredients. Printed recipes are provided so you can recreate these dishes at home. A perfect start to your Barcelona stay. During this private workshop you will have an inside look at Catalan culture and cuisine. I am not a native Catalan but I have a passion for the cuisine. If it is a bank holiday the covered markets are closed we will visit other local shops to purchase our ingredients. Learn how to make a quintessential Catalan meal and accompaniments. After we purchase our ingredients we go to my modern workshop-kitchen in the colorful, multi cultural area of Raval in Old Town. This is a true 'hands on' cooking class where you will participate in all food preparations. We will prepare six Traditional Catalan recipes. Two starters, two main dishes and two desserts. The feature dish is fideua (popular in Catalonia) a seafood paella made with pasta not rice. You will have my undivided attention. Recipes for each dish are available so you can recreate these dishes at home. When our preparations are completed we sit down and enjoy our efforts . . . with Cava of course.
