Belfast Interactive Comedy Night: Craic The Gong

Experience one of Belfast’s most unique comedy nights at Craic The Gong, hosted at The Spaniard in the Cathedral Quarter. This interactive show runs every Wednesday and Sunday, plus the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. This is not a typical stand-up show. Comedians take to the stage, but if they don’t win over the crowd, they risk being “gonged” off early. The power is in your hands, making every show fast-paced, unpredictable, and completely different every time. Enjoy a lively atmosphere in an intimate venue, with a mix of rising talent, seasoned performers, and unexpected moments throughout the night. Whether you’re visiting Belfast or looking for something different, this experience guarantees big laughs and a night you won’t forget.

Step into Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter for a high-energy, interactive comedy night at Craic The Gong. You’ll take your seat in the intimate upstairs room of The Spaniard Bar, grab a drink, and enjoy a fast-paced lineup of comedians performing short sets. The twist? If a performer isn’t winning over the crowd, they risk being “gonged” off stage early — meaning no two shows are ever the same. As an audience member, you’ll be part of the atmosphere that decides who stays and who goes. There’s no pressure to participate directly, but your reactions help shape the show, making it a fun and unpredictable experience. The night is hosted by a professional comedian who keeps the energy high, introduces each act, and ensures the show flows smoothly with plenty of laughs throughout. Expect a mix of rising local talent, experienced performers, and completely unexpected moments in a relaxed, lively setting.
