Overview
This is more than a kayak or SUP tour. It’s still dark when you push off. Stars overhead, LED lights glowing on every board, and a lagoon so quiet you can hear your paddle drip. Then the sky begins to change. You slip into the narrow Pirate’s Channel, where no boat can follow, and the crowds and noise fall away. Beyond wait the places only locals know: Mariscal Lagoon, the Mangrove Labyrinth and Cristal Lagoon, the most pristine of all. There, you lie back on your kayak or board and close your eyes. The Tibetan bowls begin. Birdsong, wind, water. For a few minutes, nothing else exists, not even your phone. Then the fun starts: a paddle race back, a swim at the old pirate ship, and breakfast of Nutella toast, fresh fruit and aromatic coffee, with tales of pirates, cenotes and stromatolites (and some very bad jokes). No experience needed. We teach you everything and capture it all on GoPro. Spots are limited and Paddleboards go first. Come see the Bacalar boats can’t reach.

Itinerary
1. Beginner-Friendly Briefing Meet at Marina Papitos before the town wakes up. Get your gear and a short, friendly lesson. First time? Perfect, most guests are beginners. 2. Gliding Under the Stars Paddle across the Lagoon of 7 Colors under a starry sky. LED lights make the group glow softly on the dark water. 3. Entering the Pirate’s Channel Cross the narrow channel where boats can’t go. The water is shallow and warm, so it’s the perfect place to stand up or fall in for fun. 4. Mariscal Lagoon at Sunrise Pause as the sky changes color. The most intense colors appear before the sun itself. 5. The Mangrove Labyrinth Wind through narrow canals, crossing the same channels the Maya and pirates once used. 6. Cristal Lagoon and Sound Healing Reach the most pristine lagoon and lie back on your board for a Sound Healing meditation with Tibetan bowls. 7. Race Back Through the Channel On the way back, we race through the channel. Silly, friendly and open to all levels. 8. Pirate Ship Swim and Breakfast Swim in turquoise shallows while we prepare Nutella toast, fresh fruit and aromatic coffee. Over breakfast, learn Bacalar’s story and how to protect it
