This self-paced hike follows a well-marked trail through shaded pine forests, towering cliffs, and untouched natural scenery. Often considered a quieter alternative to Samaria, Agia Irini offers a more relaxed way to experience Crete’s wild landscapes. The hike takes approximately 2.5 - 3 hours, allowing plenty of time to walk at your own rhythm and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. If you wish, your host can recommend a traditional seaside taverna where you can enjoy authentic Cretan cuisine. Lunch is optional, not included in the tour price, and paid directly at the restaurant.
