Dunnottar Castle, one of the world's most iconic, impregnably built on a sheer headland. Crathes, a stunning 16thC Castle with amazing gardens. We offer you the chance to learn about and meet our native breed of cattle and have a Beef lunch at a working Highland Cow Farm. Enjoy a tasting tour at The Royal Lochnagar or The Glen Garioch Distillery, both produce a world class single malt Scotch. Balmoral Castle is an option instead of the distillery (subject to seasonal opening times). All tours can be tailored to suit and the farm and distillery are subject to seasonal opening times and require advance booking. Please contact us for details. Castles are free to visit, but charge for interior tours. Dunnottar can be seen in its full glory from near the car park. To go inside involves a long staircase. 18+ to taste whisky.

   Dunnottar Castle

   1.5 hours

   Dunnottar Castle is one of the world's most iconic castles, impregnably built on a sheer headland, just south of Aberdeen. It features 1400 years of history and the Vikings and William Wallace (Braveheart) fought battles here. Free to see from outside but charges for internal tours.

   Crathes Castle, Garden & Estate

   1 hour

   Fascinating 16th Century Castle with turrets, gargoyles, 16th-century painted ceilings and ancient, great yew hedges and walled gardens set in magnificent surroundings. Castle is free to see from outside but charges for internal tours.

   Aberdeenshire Highland Beef

   2 hours

   An amazing opportunity to visit a Highland cattle working farm and meet Scotland's native breed. You will be able to photograph the cows, learn about their history and sample succulent Premium Aberdeenshire Highland Beef during lunch!

   Royal Lochnagar Distillery

   1.5 hours

   The world famous, Royal Lochnagar distillery, which was established in 1845, is a single malt Scotch whisky producer based near Balmoral Castle or The Glen Garioch Distillery, one of Scotland's oldest. You will be able to learn how it is made and sample some drams. Tours are £20pp.

   Balmoral Castle

   1 hour

   If you rather visit this iconic castle instead of the distillery we can arrange a tour. Balmoral has been the Scottish home of the Royal Family since it was purchased for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852. A must on all visitors to see list. Please note from September 2023 it has extended its opening dates. Please contact us for details.
