The Island Tour Bus is a convenient sightseeing bus that departs and arrives at Tonosho Port and tours Shodoshima's tourist spots in one day. 10:15-16:15 Recommended for those who can't decide where to start sightseeing on Shodoshima or are worried about driving in unfamiliar areas.    Kankakei Summit Observation

   1 hour

   Located within the Seto Inland Sea National Park, this is one of Japan's three great valleys. The ropeway that connects the summit and base of the mountain is popular as it is the only one in Japan where you can see the sky, sea, and valley all at once. We will take you to the summit of Kankakei by bus, after which you can enjoy sightseeing and lunch on your own. The ropeway is a one-way trip from the summit to the base of the mountain (Kountei Station). (Ropeway passenger fare included) Please return to the bus at Kountei Station. The bus will then travel from the summit to the base of the mountain (Kountei Station) and head to the next tourist spot. *Please be careful as there are approximately 70 steps from Kankakei Ropeway Kouun Station. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to those with mobility issues, but we ask that you please be careful.

   Movie Village of 24-no-Hitomi

   1 hour

   The set used in the filming of the 1987 movie is used here, and once inside, the world of the Showa era unfolds before your eyes. At the back of the village is the Cape Branch School used in the filming, and the calm Seto Inland Sea can be seen from there, filling the classroom windows. [Spending time 60 minutes, from Kankakei Kountei Station to the movie village, travel time 30 minutes]

   Ittokuan

   20 min

   Takesan Memorial Hall, Shodoshima Tsukudani no Sato Ittoku-an You can see the history of the development of Shodoshima's soy sauce and tsukudani through videos and panel displays. There are also plenty of tsukudani and soy sauce souvenirs available. [Spending time 20 minutes, from Kankakei Kountei Station to the movie village, moving time 10 minutes]

   Michi-no-Eki Shodoshima Olive Park

   30 min

   With olive fields, herb gardens, Greek windmills, and the Seto Inland Sea and Uchiumi Bay below, it feels like the Mediterranean Sea. There are also plenty of facilities, including the Olive Memorial Hall, Herb Craft Hall, and Sun Olive Hot Springs. [Spending time 30 minutes Ittokuan → Olive Park travel time 20 minutes]

   Angel Road

   Pass by

   Angel Road is a sand road that appears from the sea at low tide twice a day. It is said that if you cross it while holding hands with a loved one, your wish will come true. (View from the train window. You can get off along the way.)

   Dosho Port Sightseeing Center

   Tonosho Port Tourist Center is located 1 minute walk from Tonosho Port. We have a wide selection of souvenirs from Shodoshima.
